Some of my Favorites

It's been almost a week since Easter and I just haven't gotten around to posting pictures on here from that beautiful sunny day. Just wish the weather would have stayed like it was.I did post lots of them on FB but wanted to make sure to get some on here.

Here are a FEW  lot of my favorites:)

( And I'm sorry if it takes a long time to load- I do shrink my pictures but it still seems to take some computes to load them)

Little G checking out Grandma's newest baby calves.

Seriously, what is cuter than little kissing cousins?!

Lots of Bale jumping going on at the farm

Ethan is always ready to strike a pose!

Audrey making friends with a calf not much bigger than herself:)

Mama and all her girls! I only hope I can look as good as her when my kids are all grown up!

What's a trip to the farm without a ride on the Gator?

You know you are totally jealous of me!

My good looking little brother who is driving now! Where did the time go?

I had to leave you with a picture showing just how beautiful the day was. Lovin' that green, green grass!

Especially the beautiful ladies sitting there!

Happy Easter!

He Is Risen!
Hallelujah!

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
Let's remember why we celebrate Easter.
The King is Risen!
He is Alive!

This week has been super gloomy, rainy, and just plain depressing!
I'm really hoping that Easter will be sunny.
I really think that this lack of sun has taken it's toll on all of our attitudes around here- especially mine!

I'm really happy that last Sunday before the gloominess started I let the kids talk me into taking them to a park. I told them I'd take them after I finished up a sewing project that I had been dying to try. Here's a little peek of it.

I've been wanting to try and make a Pillow Case Dress for some time and when I was going through the kids' closet, I found a set of pillowcases we had gotten from my Grandma for our wedding. We hadn't used them, they were pretty special. All the time she put into embroidering them. I felt that I needed to save them for something special. I couldn't think of anything more special than making one of them into a dress for Audrey:)

So after finishing that project up I figured I'd better do what I said I'd do. I really didn't want to drive far with our big beast sucking the gas down like she does, so we went to the town 6 miles away and went to their dinky little park. The kids had a blast! Here are some pictures from our little outing at the Windmill Park.

The Merry-Go-Round was by far the favorite! I was getting dizzy just watching them and felt like loosing my lunch after pushing it around.

What's a trip to the park without a little swingin'

Does this make me a mean mom? That I take pictures of them when they get hurt? Sorry, I just love their expressions!

And yes,

That's my kid!

Pinecone Soup

Owen and Audrey have a recipe they would like to share with you.
They made it themselves and decided it was quite delicious!

Pine Cone Soup

Fill a pot with pine cones.

Find a large stick and stir the pine cones until they look ready.

Have your little sister taste to make sure its ready.

If it looks like she likes it take a taste yourself.

 Lick the pine cones.

Sit and enjoy the rest of the soup with each other.
Best eaten with a sister/brother.

Decide that it is the bestest soup ever!

Seeing Double

After waiting weeks ( 3 to be exact!) we finally were healthy enough to go and visit Ben's newest neices.
Yes! TWINS!!!
Ben's little sister Emily and her husband Matt just welcomed beautiful twin girls into their family.
Now they have 5 beautiful daughters.

Hannah Maurine and Amelia Rose

Oh My! I had so much fun holding those precious babies.
( I think I may have been hit with Baby Fever )

I think Ben might have the fever too:)

When You Run Out Of Pants

What do you do?

When all of your pants are soaking wet and covered in mud from playing out in the springtime thaw?

It's Obvious.

 To a 3 year old.

Your little sisters skirt.

A Walk in Muddy Shoes

Our walks have begun again.
Down our driveway.

We love our adventures down the driveway.
We look for neat rocks.
Look for gopher holes.
Sing silly songs.
Have races.
The kids like to walk around out in the field.

They like to walk out to the little swamp to see what birds and animals they could find.

But this time of year is treacherous to walk through the field.
You fall in the mud.
You get stuck in the mud.

You get in trouble for walking in the muddy field while wearing your new shoes.

You find a feather and get really excited thinking its from a swan.

Until Mom tells you its a turkey feather from the turkey farm across the road.

I love our walks.
